Haunted Bed
and Breakfast?
Numerous guests have reported
unexplained activity within
Prairie House. Doors opening of
their own
accord, footfalls when no one
else is in the house, the
feeling of being watched,
specific doors locking
or unlocking on their own, or
hearing voices in the house when
it was unoccupied, things of
this nature.
While no one reports being
terribly frightened, it has been
a source of discussion and
interest amongst
the staff, guests, and other
visitors.
In February 2012, we invited the
Hide and Seek Paranormal Society
of Oregon to spend a night
investigating this phenomena.
They uncovered some interesting
evidence, leading them to
believe that
we do in fact have 'friendly
ghosts' in our midst. Given that
the house is over 120 years old,
this may
not be surprising.
HSPS claims that the Prairie
House Inn is one of the most
active sites they have
investigated to date. In
March 2012, they asked if we
might host another
investigation. This effort began
March 27th, and
though the final case log has
not been published, the teams
says they are finding as many or
more
interesting results this time
around.

started out as a family's home
during the late 1800's, and now
exists as
an historic inn. During our
visit we did not feel it or its
inhabitants to be harmful. We
might consider
them to be long lost tenants of
this home that might want to
remain there as it might have
once been a
place of family and joy. Perhaps
too, they are curious about the
new owner and those that come in
and
out of the house. This inviting
B & B, from it's original floors
to it's beautiful rooms, is no
wonder that
these unseen visitors want to

and educational paranormal
investigation with the
Hide and Seek Paranormal Society

Tours
Prairie House offers vineyard
tours of a number of Oregon
Wineries. Clackamas County
Continues to
add wine grapes to our
agricultural landscape, and we
are happy to showcase our
'hometown' wines.
Vineyards include Alexeli, St.
Josef's, Silver falls?,
Christopher Bridge, and a number
of other Oregon
wineries. We offer tours
starting at four guests, which
include tasting tours, a night's
lodging and a
gourmet wine dinner. Please

Country Farm Tours
Since we are situated within a
fertile agricultural region, we
offer tours of a variety of
farms and shops
associated with our thriving
agricultural industry. Guests
can explore local nurseries,
gardens, ranches,
and festivals from our home base
at the Prairie House Inn. These

custom 'party van', and include
a nights' lodging and gourmet
